NOTICE OF MEETING
NOTICE is hereby given that the Cherokee
County Commissioners’ Court will meet in Regular Session at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March
8, 2010 at its regular meeting place in the County Courtroom in the County Courthouse in the
City of Rusk, Texas, for the purpose of:
1.
Call to Order.
2. Invocation.
3. Consider laying utility lines in each precinct.
4. Consider approval of Sheriff Department
monthly report for
February, 2010.
5. Consider approval of the additions/alterations
to the Jail/Sheriff’s Department per the Accessibility Consultants of Texas .
6. Consider approval of replacing wrecked dump
truck for Precinct No. 2 thru Buy Board.
7. Consider acceptance of Mr. John Mark Lester
resignation to the Cherokee County Appraisal District Board of Directors
and
make nomination for replacement.
8. Hear from Barry Hughes with NET RMA and provide
a brief update on TXDOT projects in Cherokee county and
to request
the court review the priority.
9. Consider approval of contract with City of
Jacksonville to hold Local Option Election for May 8, 2010.
10. Consider approval of resolution certifying urgent need
conditions within Cherokee county.
11.
Consider approval of agreement with Area Health Education
Center(AHEC) for training of community Health Workers (CHW).
12.
Consider approval of the following consent agenda:
12.1 Approval of Commissioners’ Court Minutes of Meetings of
February, 2010.
12.2
Approval of County Auditor monthly report for the month ending January , 2010.
12.3
Approval of Constable Precinct No. 2, Jack White monthly report.
12.4
Approval of Constable Precinct No. 3, Eddie Lee monthly reports.
12.5 Authorizing the payment of the bills.
