NOTICE OF MEETING
NOTICE is hereby given that the Cherokee County
Commissioners= Court will meet in Regular Session at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September
28, 2009 at its regular meeting place in the County Courtroom in the County Courthouse in the
City of Rusk, Texas, for the purpose of:
1. Call to Order.
2. Invocation.
3. Consider laying utility lines in each precinct.
4. Consider approval to boom-ax Haws Road in the City
of New Summerfield.
5. Consider bids for annual fuel requirements. Bids
were opened on September 25, 2009.
6. Consider annual “buy back” provision and purchase of
new Mack Dump trucks through Buy Board.
7. Consider approval of Budget Amendments for the budget
beginning October 1, 2009.
8. Consider adoption of Constables Precinct No. 1, 2,
3, and 4 to use their private owned or leased vehicles for use of law enforcement purposes under
Section 170.001, Local Government Code/SB 1831.
9. Consider approval of the 2010 Cherokee County Resolution
Indigent Defense
Grant.
10. Consider approval to utilize technology funds to change to the
NetData software system and upgrade two(2) PC monitors for Justice of Peace Precinct No.
3.
11. Consider appointments to
the Cherokee County Appraisal District Board of Directors-two year term for each of the
five members. Nominations must be returned by October 15,
2009.
12. Consider
approval of the following consent agenda:
12.1 Approval of Ricky Moore, License and Weight monthly report.
12.2 Approval of Lynn Kelley, Constable Pct #1 monthly report.
12.3 Approval to change date of Commissioners= Court from Monday, October 12 to
Tuesday, October 13, 2009.
12.4 Authorizing the payment of the bills.
